Security by quality

No question, systems that are designed for the automotive domain, certainly have to go through extra strict quality tests: The driver legitimately expects the extraordinary high quality standards of the cars from their electronic components as well. Here, besides the obvious reliability, especially an intuitive and smooth usability must be assured.

In order to accomplish this, we not only do the usual black- and whitebox tests but also code reviews. Detailed test cases, exactly designed to meet special features of the test sample, make it possible to check all relevant features of the product. They suit both: Development accompanying tests and final verification as well.

Complex components and corresponding accessories, e.g. digital cards for navigation systems, are covered by designated tools: Here we design and implement special systems that put us in the position to measure all relevant data with the required accuracy. This way we can do all sorts of tests: From random sample checking to detailed complete tests - and even comparison testing is possible.

Due to our close cooperation with the OEM providers of the most important german car manufacturers, we were able to gather together lots of experiences not only related to the different systems of the distinctive manufacturers but also to their different product lines. This is what results in our intimate knowledge of the most common systems.

Furthermore in the past we have had the chance to work in other quality related fields of engineering as well. For instance we did

• accompany the introduction of the MMS service of a leading german network provider by independant tests. Besides checking the service itself, we also inspected the used mobile phones, the system components and their integration as well.
• the checking and homologation of fax application package for end user pcs of a big US manufacturer for most of the european countries.
• beta tests for a couple of software systems designed for the end user market. This was done on behalf of different software vendors and distributors.
